Tours! This is the stage in which we asked the children to take us around the center. Unfortunately, the tour did not last long as we were told to go back to the classroom by the Host Teacher. Even though we had the Supervisors permission, she stated that they needed to do circle time and they didn't have enough time for the children to be out of the classroom. In the five minutes that we were given, we were able to provide a chart based on the pictures during that time.

What has been confirmed by the children using
this tool?
We established that the children kept bending
down taking pictures underneath items. This was strange as the center is
colourful, has many different rooms and more. They also ran to the washroom
and took pictures while looking back at us. We stepped away from this experience,
because we felt they didn't feel this was okay to be alone outside of the classroom. Once we stepped away, we heard
laughter and playing. This was the same time we were called to go back into
the classroom.
What new information has this given us?
This information has given us the knowledge that the
children weren't allowed to be away for a long period of time. They seem to have misbehaved in the
washroom and the teacher always watches over them. They wanted to hide
while on the tour, which gave us an understanding that they wanted to be in that
exact space because it was a space that they are not given any independence in.
