Next, we asked the Host Teacher to have an interview with us. Her response was, "answer them yourself." After explaining how important her input was she decided to participate with minimal responses. Below is a chart to give you an understanding!
1) What do you think children gain from playing here?
2) Can you tell me more about the apple chart? The children seem to be taking many pictures of this chart.
3) What do you thinking is missing in their learning environment?
4) What do you think they don't like?
5) Where do you think their favourite places are?
6) The children took a picture of the infant room, do you allow them to observe the babies?
7) Can you tell us about the drawings the children drew?
8) Where might they have privacy?
There are more questions, but after asking eight question she got up and said "that is enough."

What has been confirmed by using this tool?
By using this tool, we were able to gain information about what the teacher in the room felt about their classroom. Using this tool has confirmed that the teacher is the "authority figure" in the room and her view is the only opinion that matters.
What new information has been gained by including this tool?
We learned through this tool that the teacher has no time for talking with the children (even us) and is the authoritarian figure who makes the rules and is the boss of the classroom. Her responses to our questions were based on her explaining the authority she has in the room and her view of her classroom, which she believes is a positive learning environment.
